We understand that security of your personal information is vitally
important to you and we take it very seriously. We use specialist
software (either directly or indirectly through third party providers)

Our website uses a secure server which uses SSL technology (secure
sockets layer) to make sure that all your credit or debit card

into bits of code which are then securely transmitted to the payment
processor over the Internet. We will take all reasonable measures to
keep your personal information, order and payment details secure.
However, we cannot be held liable if an event beyond our control
results in loss to you. Please note that no one at Jewellery Edition
has access to payment transaction information that is made over the
internet – only third party payment processing houses have access to
this information once decoded. Jewellery Edition does not keep, store
or maintain your credit/debit or bank information (unless you choose to
pay over the phone).

Diamond Certification
A diamond certificate or grading report verifies that a diamond is genuine and
evaluates the quality and size of the stone. It is issued by a Gemological Laboratory,
detailing the ‘grade’ which indicates the physical properties of
the diamond. The ‘ physical properties’ being the cut, clarity,
colour and carat of the stone. A certificate is a document, which retains its
value over a long period of time, assuming the diamond is not chipped or otherwise
altered. Please note that the certificate does not ensure a fixed value for
the diamond as the financial value of a diamond can easily change over time.
Note, that if you are offered a diamond without a certificate, remember you
are buying the diamond based on the sales persons claims about the quality.
A trained gemologist may disagree with that person’s assessment.
Caring for your Jewellery
Firstly, ensure that you never store your diamonds with other diamond jewellery
as the diamonds may scratch each other or the chains or settings become tangled.
To clean your diamond jewellery, make a weak solution of warm water and mild
detergent (ie gentle washing up liquid). Gently brush the setting and stone
with a soft toothbrush, run under clean running water to remove the detergent,
then tap to remove excess water and dry with a soft clean cloth that is not
prone to shedding lint. You can of course use dedicated jewellery cleaner –
simply follow the instructions given.
